Ric Flair, dubbed “The Nature Boy,” is widely recognized as the greatest professional wrestler of all time because to his unrivalled charisma, distinct style, and, most significantly, his 40-year career in the ring. Flair became a 16-time World Champion during the course of over 40 years, a record that remained until 2017. At the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble, John Cena defeated AJ Styles to become the second-ever 16-time World Champion, tying Ric Flair and setting the stage for Cena to eventually eclipse the G.O.A.T. With Cena and Flair tied at the top, Triple H and Randy Orton both have 14 World Championship reigns, putting Orton in line to become the 16th person to do so.

On the most recent edition of The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed if John Cena would ever break the record, as well as what chance Randy Orton has of throwing his name in the hat. Angle said, “The answer is simple: yes, yes he will. I believe John Cena will be the only 17-time World Champion. I do believe that Randy Orton is going to catch up to him and possibly surpass him. I know that records are made to be broken but I believe that John Cena is going to break Ric Flair’s record.”

Given Cena’s demanding Hollywood movie star schedule, Orton has stated that he wants to wrestle until he reaches the age of 50, placing him in the greatest position to break the World Championship record. Angle explained what he thinks she’ll accomplish by the time she retires, despite the fact that another top talent in the WWE presently holds 13 World Championships. Angle said, “I think Charlotte Flair is going to win like 38 titles. She’s off to a good start too.”
