The Undertaker has revealed that getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is a humbling experience for him. The Phenom will be the headliner for this year’s Hall of Fame which will take place on April 1st, one day before WrestleMania.

Speaking on the True Geordie Podcast, the Deadman spoke candidly about how he felt about the honour. He stated, “It’s really humbling actually. When you think of the list of people that are in the Hall of Fame, the Andre the Giants, the Ultimate Warriors, the (Hulk) Hogans, the Ric Flairs, you know the greats of our industry all take residence there at the Hall of Fame, and to be included with names like that, and I use those guys because, most of those guys were before me, so those were the guys that I looked up to, that inspired me to want to be the best I could be, so to be included with those kind of guys, it’s humbling and, honestly I’m not really sure how it’s gonna hit me that night.

I have a good feeling because I’m already amped up about it, but it really is, that’s the best way, I consider myself considerably blessed and very fortunate and humbled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.”

For a long time, WrestleMania was known for the Undertaker’s undefeated streak which went on for 21 years. In that time span, he defeated wrestling greats like Ric Flair, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, Triple H, Kane, Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels etc. The streak ended when Brock Lesnar pinned The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30.

Undertaker says modern wrestlers lack grit

In the same interview, the Undertaker said that he believes that modern wrestlers lack ‘grit’. He said, “I feel like there is a level of grit that is missing from today’s product. I don’t know that it’s anybody’s fault, we all aged out and that new group has come up. When you watch Brock (Lesnar) wrestle, you’re interested because you know, he’s got this background not only as an amateur wrestler, professional wrestler, mixed martial artist. Brock doesn’t do a bunch of crazy moves, Brock manhandles your ass. You get in there and you get thrown around and you get smashed. You know, and Roman (Reigns) has a little bit of that to him, and when he wants to Randy (Orton) has that to him when he wants to.”
