WWE Smackdown Live was an uproar as we saw Charlotte Flair joining Grayson Waller on his show The Grayson Waller Effect. Then we saw Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn waiting to know who they are going to face at Money in the Bank and the biggest spectacle of them all was Jey Uso’s decision as to whether he will back his cousin “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns or Jimmy Uso.

Every question got answered on this week’s SmackDown as we go through what went on during the Friday Night live show.

Tag Team Gauntlet to Determine the No. 1 Contenders to the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: LWO vs Pretty Deadly vs Street Profits vs Brawling Brutes vs The OC

The top contenders to the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were selected in a Gauntlet Match at the start of Friday’s program. Sheamus and Ridge Holland of The Brawling Brutes attempted to sweep the pitch, beginning with The Street Profits and continuing all the way to Hit Row.

Kit Wilson and Elton Prince of Pretty Deadly had different ideas. The heels nearly won when Prince took advantage of Sheamus’s confusion about who of the heels was the rightful opponent and secured the pinfall victory over the former WWE Champion.

Winner: Pretty Deadly

If the win wasn’t enough to persuade you that management has great plans for Pretty Deadly, the little promo section starring Zayn and Owens should have. The new No. 1 contenders appeared to be attempting to shatter the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions with their over-the-top promo until Zayn unleashed Owens on them. The heels avoided any violence, but the setting was set for a bout that should be extremely exciting and, based on the in-ring skill of all four men, darn fantastic.

Zelina Vega vs Iyo Sky

Bayley’s meddling backfired once more, costing Iyo Sky a match against Zelina Vega as emotions in Damage CTRL rose. The Role Model has been engaged in a few Sky defeats recently, the most prominent being at Backlash, when The Goddess of the Sky lost the Raw Women’s Championship Match against Bianca Belair.

Backstage, the confrontation between teammates continued, prompting Shotzi to interfere and challenge Bayley to put her position on the line the next week. Sky accepted the offer on her behalf, stating she was “just trying to help.”

Winner: Zelina Vega

The Grayson Waller Effect with Charlotte Flair

The Grayson Waller Effect has very little to do with the Superstar named after him. Instead, it was all about escalating tensions between Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair, both of whom are vying for Asuka’s WWE Women’s Championship.

Belair made a remark about Flair departing after WrestleMania. The Queen reacted by asking what kind of champion The EST is without a title, to which Belair replied that she did not need to win 14 titles to make history.

Mixed Tag Team Match: AJ Styles and “Michin” Mia Yim vs Karrion Kross and Scarlett

Instead of writing the next chapter in AJ Styles and Karrion Kross’ feud, the Mixed Tag Team Match, which also included “Michin” Mia Yim and Scarlett, did nothing noteworthy. It was far too brief.

Kross and Scarlett won in an underhanded manner, but it did not depict them as a cheating pair fortunate enough to win, nor was it dominating enough to establish them as the menace they were 10 months before. The bout was just…there, and although there will almost certainly be some blowoff between the heel and Styles,

Winner: Karrion Kross and Scarlett

Santos Escobar vs LA Knight

Santos Escobar’s Money in the Bank performance was dedicated to people who had a dream and dared to pursue it. LA Knight was more concerned with delivering a message to the rest of the ladder match field, beginning with a victory against the former NXT North American Champion. Escobar, on the other hand, put a stop to that, gaining the pinfall victory over the loudmouth villain with a victory roll.

Winner: Santos Escobar

Twitter blasts through the roof as The Bloodline finally splits

The Bloodline is now more, done with the deed. Roman Reigns’ empire is crumbling down piece by piece. One final time, Jey Uso resisted Roman Reigns’ manipulation and gaslighting in order to work with his brother Jimmy and flee. The tribal chief was found in the middle of the ring unconscious. Paul Heyman slithered to the ground like the serpent he is, as did Solo Sikoa.

The Usos stood tall in the middle of the ring to finish out this edition of SmackDown, and the Kentucky crowd responded properly by erupting. It was the moment that The Bloodline narrative has been building to for three years.
