The most outlandish of these rumors has McIntyre departing WWE before his current contract expires and making an unexpected debut at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. While many have pointed out that this is exceedingly implausible, professional wrestling is never logical, and nothing is impossible if there is money to be earned. Dave Meltzer, writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, provided something of a rumor killer. McIntyre won’t be a free agent until 2024, according to Meltzer, and WWE is likely to extend his contract owing to the time he’s been away with injuries.

“Regarding McIntyre and the idea he could be at All In, there is basically almost no chance of that. His contract expires months after that date so even if he were to leave WWE when the deal expires (a big if) and goes to AEW (which would be the most likely destination if he were to leave), that can’t happen until 2024. Also, WWE is likely to tack on all of this current period when he’s been out of action with an injury that would move the end of his deal back.”

What is McIntyre’s future?

Drew McIntyre’s future has been quite the talk of the town now. It was reported that not only was The Scottish Psychopath unhappy with his WWE creative but also neither he nor WWE was close to agreeing each other’s terms on a new deal. A Deal that was reportedly said to be expiring this year. But that’s just what we thought.
