Delhi Capitals Key Players:

Delhi Capitals have a strong squad where they have the swashbuckling opener, Prithvi Shaw, in the squad. While he is responsible for quick scores, they will get their captain Rishabh Pant in the middle who can win matches single-handedly. Apart from this they have a strong bowling attack – be it pace or spin and they have the star all-rounder Shardul Thakur as well, who has been in sublime form as well. With their presence, there is a chance that Delhi might win the title this season as well.

Delhi Capitals Strengths:

Delhi Capitals have one of the most destructive batting lineups with them. In Prithvi Shaw and David Warner, they have got their opening combo. Moreover, the left-right batting combination will also help them as well. Along with this, they are both aggressive players which will be helpful in the powerplay as well.

Apart from them, they have their skipper Rishabh Pant, who is known as one of the best big-hitters who can attack and win games single-handedly. Moreover, they have Mitchell Marsh, who has probably been the most consistent T20 batter in the world in recent times. He can bat up the order or finish the knock equally well too.

Delhi Capitals Weakness:

They have some quality spinners in their team earlier but this is a little weak in the department for the 2022 season. Having released R Ashwin and Amit Mishra, Delhi have lost out on the experience that is needed. Howveer, they have retained left-arm orthodox bowler Axar Patel, who has been in good form. Meanwhile, they will have the left-arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav. Although Yadav’s performance has been on a weaker side at the IPL in the recent past, he is likely to do well.

Delhi Capitals Opportunities and Threats:

Every good T20 team has several options when it comes to all-rounders. The Delhi Capitals have done well in that part, having bought the likes of Mitchell Marsh, Rovman Powell and Lalit Yadav apart from Axar Patel as well. Marsh, who is considered mainly as a batter, can be handy with his medium-fast bowling like Powell.

Moreover, Axar Patel is a great spinner who has also shown glimpses of his batting skills as well. The left-handed batter can also play the second fiddle to a set batter and can also take the charge and also hit big shots. With these, it can be expected that Delhi will do well this season as well.
