Kolkata Knight Riders opener Aaron Finch has recently opened up on his own form in the ongoing IPL 2022, stating that he has been hit and miss this season as well. While speaking to the host broadcaster Star Sports, Finch commented on his performance as well as KKR’s poor show in the Indian Premier League. Notably, KKR are currently playing against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai

“My game has been a hit and a miss so far” – Aaron Finch

“My game has been a hit and a miss so far. I am focusing on trying to hit straight and stay on a bit longer. I work with David Hussey, Brendon McCullum and get an honest feedback. T20 is a brutal game for batters and bowlers and you have to be honest with yourself to be successful,” Finch has said prior to the game.

However, Kolkata Knight Riders have had a great start of the season but soon they faced five successive losses and need to win their five rest of the games to get to 16 points – which is considered as a minimum cut-off to enter the playoffs this season as well. Meanwhile, KKR’s poor strategy could be the reason too as they did not find a proper combination. Notably, they have changed 19 players in their first nine games and many slammed them as well, including the former cricketer turned commentator Kevin Pietersen.

“You have to understand the strength and weaknesses of your partner” – Finch

Meanwhile, Aaron Finch, while speaking about his own form, opined on this matter too and said that one has to trust the strength and the weakness of their partner’ well and it is very important to have a perfect playing XI combination too. “You have to understand the strength and weaknesses of your partner, so opening combination matters. It comes down to the communication and be a bit vulnerable in expressing yourself in order to tackle the opposition bowlers,” Aaron Finch concluded.
