AC Milan has confirmed the signing of Marco Sportiello as their new goalkeeper. Sportiello, 29, has signed a contract until June 2027 and will serve as backup to Mike Maignan. He began his career at Atalanta’s youth system and has played for various clubs before returning to Atalanta, making 88 appearances from 2013 to 2017. After stints at Fiorentina and Frosinone, Sportiello returned to Atalanta for the 2019-20 season, accumulating 136 appearances before seeking a new adventure.

The Reds have been interested in the 24-year-old for some time but were unsuccessful in their attempts to sign him last year when he was considered indispensable. However, Real Madrid is now more willing to let him go, possibly due to the arrival of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. Chelsea is in advanced talks to sign Santos winger Angelo Gabriel in a deal worth reportedly £15 million. The 18-year-old Brazilian talent, highly regarded in his country, is expected to join Stamford Bridge soon. Angelo made his debut for Santos at 16 and became the youngest goalscorer in Copa Libertadores history in 2021. However, his record has since been surpassed. Despite already having played 129 senior matches and representing Brazil at the under-20 level, Angelo has faced limited playing time and form issues this season. It is yet to be determined whether he will join Chelsea’s first team, under-21 squad, or the affiliated club Strasbourg.
