Leicester City will be desperate to get back to winning ways and return to the top two in the EFL Championship standings, when they play host to in-form Norwich City at King Power Stadium on Monday. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a surprise 1-0 defeat away to Bristol City on Good Friday, while the Canaries are heading into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle last time out. The Foxes are currently occupying third spot in the English second tier standings, having collected 82 points from 38 games just a solitary point adrift of second-placed Leeds United, who have played a game more. The visitors, on the other hand, are sitting at the sixth position, the final playoff spot, with 64 points to their name from 39 league matches, just four clear of seventh-placed Coventry City, who have a game in hand.

Leicester are going through bit of a torrid period, having recorded just two wins from their last eight outings across all competitions, losing five games in the period. Their last success came away to Sunderland in the Championship on March 6. After that the Foxes went on a three-game winless run, recording two successive defeats against the likes of Chelsea and Bristol, in the FA Cup and second tier respectively. On Friday, Enzo Maresca’s men suffered their eighth league defeat of the season at Ashton Gate courtesy of Bristol attacker Anis Mehmeti’s lone goal in the second-half. Nevertheless, the Foxes are trailing the leaders Ipswich Town by just two points and have a game in hand over the top two.
Norwich, on the other hand, have been in stunning form since the turn of the year, recording nine wins from 14 Championship games. After the 3-1 defeat to Middlesbrough on March 6, the Canaries have won each of their last four outings, against the likes of Rotherham United Stoke City and Plymouth, with an overall score of 10-1. On Friday David Wagner’s men came from behind to secure their 19th league-win of the campaign thanks to Josh Sargent’s 67th-minute equaliser and Ashley Phillips’ own goal 16 minutes from time.
