Leicester are going through bit of a rough patch, having recorded two defeats, two wins and a draw from their last five outings across all competitions. The Foxes started this month with a 2-1 Championship-defeat versus Queens Park Rangers, but quickly bounced with a narrow 1-0 win away to Sunderland. The victory at Stadium of Light on March 5 was their 26th league-win of the campaign. Four days later, Enzo Marseca’s men were forced to share the spoils with Hull City at MKM Stadium despite the fact that Jamie Vardy netted a brace. And then, Leicester went into the international break on the back of a FA Cup elimination at the hands of Chelsea. Although the Foxes came from behind to make the score 2-2 courtesy of Axel Disasi’s own goal in the 51st-minute and Stephy Mavidi’s effort on the hour-mark, the Blues scored twice in the injury time to enter the semifinals.
Bristol City, on the other hand, have recorded 13 league-wins this term and their last success came against Swansea City on March 10 thanks to Robert Dickie’s lone goal in the second-half. However, the Robins couldn’t build on that success, going into the break on the back of a 2-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion. Tom Fellows’ opener on the stroke of half-time and Jed Wallace’s 50th-minute effort handed Liam Manning’s side their 17th second tier defeat of the season. Moreover, it was their fifth loss from last six league games.
