West Ham United will play host to Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League fixture at London Stadium on Tuesday. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 4-3 defeat away to Newcastle United at the weekend, while Spurs secured a 2-1 win over Luton Town last time out. The victory helped the visitors, who are occupying fifth spot in the English top flight standings, to move to 56 points from 29 games, just three adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa who have played a game more. The Hammers, on the other hand, are sitting at the seventh position in the table, with 44 points to their name from 29 league matches.

West Ham were 2-1 ahead going into the break at St. James’ Park on Saturday thanks to Michail Antonio’s 21st-minute equaliser and Mohammed Kudus’ effort on the stroke of half-time. Three minutes into the second-half, the Hammers extended the lead through Jarrod Bowen. However, Newcastle fought back and netted three goals in the final fifteen minutes courtesy of Alexander Isak’s second of the night in the 77th-minute and Harvey Barnes’ late double. David Moyes’ side are now on a three-game winless run in the English top flight, picking up just two points from the last available nine. Meanwhile, West Ham have been solid at the London Stadium this season, losing only three of their 15 home league games so far.
Tottenham, on the other hand, came from behind and secured a last-gasp victory against Luton at the weekend, thanks to Issa Kabore’s 51st-minute own goal and Son-Heung min’s winner four minutes from time. It was Spurs’ 17th league-win of the season and a victory in London on Tuesday could take them to the Champions League spot as they are trailing fourth-placed Villa by just three points, and have a game in hand. Meanwhile, Spurs’ away-form has been a cause of concern for head coach Agne Postecoglu, as they have won only one of their last five on the road while collecting just five league points in the process.
West Ham United probable starting lineup: Fabianski, Coufal, Mavropanos, Zouma, Emerson, Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus, Antonio
Tottenham Hotspur probable starting lineup: Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie, Sarr, Bissouma, Johnson, Maddison, Son, Richarlison
