During the summer transfer window of 2023, football fans have been experiencing daily thrills and anticipation as clubs announce exciting signings and departures. The news brings a mix of emotions, with supporters feeling both delighted and devastated by these decisions. A recent significant update revealed major changes in player transfers, creating a whirlwind of emotions among the fans was Al-Hilal, the Saudi club, making a reported record-breaking €300m bid for Kylian Mbappé, offering him €200m for a single season. PSG excluded Mbappé from their pre-season tour, set to sell him unless he signs a new contract. While PSG expects him to join Real Madrid for free next year, Al-Hilal remains persistent, planning to entice him with a staggering €200m-a-year salary, reaching €700m annually with commercial deals, as per reports.

Marcel Sabitzer will move to Borussia Dortmund for around €19 million reportedly after a loan spell at Manchester United and a season-ending injury at Bayern Munich. Dortmund aims to fill the void left by Jude Bellingham’s departure. Bayern Munich is reportedly preparing a third £100 million bid for Harry Kane. Despite an improved contract offer from Tottenham, Kane is determined to join Thomas Tuchel’s side, risking a free transfer next summer if Tottenham doesn’t sell him now.

Southampton reject Liverpool’s Romeo Lavia bid

Liverpool’s initial bid for Roméo Lavia has been reportedly turned down by Southampton. The offer, reported to be around £35m with additional payments, fell short of the £50m package the club allegedly desires for the talented teenage midfielder. Lavia impressed despite Southampton’s relegation last season, having joined from Manchester City. As Liverpool restructures their midfield, the 19-year-old Belgian player has been identified as a crucial target. The club is likely to come back with a revised offer. Chelsea also reportedly holds an interest in Lavia.

Manchester United’s proposal for Rasmus Hojlund

As per reports, Rasmus Hojlund is set to join Manchester United, rejecting a late offer from Paris Saint-Germain despite it being financially more lucrative. He will be United’s third signing this summer, following the arrivals of Mason Mount and Andre Onana. United reportedly have a five-year contract agreement with Hojlund, but they refuse to meet Atalanta’s £80 million alleged valuation of the striker. The club’s stance is clear that they will not go above the reported £60 million in their bid. Both United and Hojlund are confident that the deal will be finalized by the end of the week, with negotiations ongoing between the two clubs regarding the transfer fee after the player’s agreement is already in place.

Sadio Mane close to Al-Nassr

Reports suggest that Bayern Munich is open to selling Sadio Mane, with manager Thomas Tuchel stating that Mane fell short of expectations. While Mane has spoken to Al-Nassr, no deal has been agreed upon yet. If he leaves Bayern, he might join former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo at the club, which has also signed Alex Telles and Marcelo Brozovic this summer. Mane’s time at Bayern turned sour after he reportedly punched teammate Leroy Sane, resulting in his exclusion from the squad and a fine. Tuchel highlights tough competition for Mane’s starting position.
