Arsenal has officially broken their transfer record by signing Declan Rice from West Ham for £100 million ($131 million) plus £5 million ($6.5 million) in add-ons. The deal surpasses Arsenal’s previous record for Nicolas Pepe. Rice’s transfer could make him the most expensive British player in Premier League history, overtaking Jack Grealish’s move to Manchester City. Meanwhile, Liverpool has reportedly approved Brazilian midfielder Fabinho’s move to Saudi club Al Ittihad. Fabinho played a crucial role in Jurgen Klopp’s triumphant teams that clinched the UEFA Champions League and Premier League titles. His departure is part of Klopp’s midfield revamp at Liverpool.

Juventus has reportedly matched Chelsea’s asking price of €40 million for Lukaku, sidelining Inter. However, Juventus needs to sell Dusan Vlahovic for up to €70 million before completing Lukaku’s move. Lukaku will return to Chelsea’s training facility as the transfer saga continues, with Chelsea aiming for resolution by month-end.

Juventus eyeing Barcelona’s Franck Kessie

Former AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is reportedly set to leave Barcelona as the club looks to offload players for financial reasons. Juventus has allegedly shown interest in signing the 26-year-old on loan this summer, with an option to buy after a year, according to reports from Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano. Kessie, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer just a year ago after spending five seasons with Milan, has yet to decide on a potential return to Italy or leaving Barcelona. The exact financial details of the potential deal have not been disclosed.

Al-Ahli closing in on Riyad Mahrez

Riyad Mahrez, the Manchester City star, has reportedly reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with Al Ahli for a potential move to Saudi Arabia this summer. However, there are still several obstacles to overcome before the transfer can be finalized. The two clubs will need to agree on a transfer fee since Mahrez is under contract with Manchester City until 2025. According to Ben Jacobs, negotiations between the clubs will take place in the next 24-48 hours to determine the feasibility of the move. Mahrez is said to be interested in the opportunity to move to the Middle East, and Al Ahli is eager to secure the deal swiftly.

Xavi Simons returning to PSG soon

20-year-old forward Xavi Simons has left PSV’s pre-season training camp after PSG reportedly activated a £5m buy-back clause in his contract. Last season, Simons scored 19 goals and provided nine assists in 49 games, contributing to PSV’s Dutch Cup victory. He made his international debut for the Netherlands during the World Cup. Simons spent nine years in Barcelona’s academy before joining PSG in 2019. He made his professional debut in 2021, appearing in seven Ligue 1 matches without scoring. PSG has been active in the transfer market, making five signings this summer, including Lucas Hernandez, Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Manuel Ugarte, and Lee Kang-in.
