The football transfer window has brought excitement and surprises to fans. So far we know that Chelsea has officially signed RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku. Nkunku had a great season, contributing 16 goals and six assists in 25 league games. The move will be finalized on July 1, and Nkunku will join Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Reports have been suggesting that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is making efforts to sign Bernardo Silva as a replacement for Lionel Messi. As per reports, however, Silva has indicated that he has no interest in moving to Saudi Arabia, and Manchester City is not offering any discounts to PSG. In this case, if PSG wants to acquire the Champions League winner, they’ll need to make a significant financial investment.

Manchester United has also been active in this transfer window and is reportedly monitoring Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund as they address their striker concerns after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure. Discussions with Atalanta indicate an asking price of £40 million for Hojlund. United sees him as a potential solution to their striking needs.

Chelsea reject Manchester United’s bid for Mason Mount

According to reports, Manchester United has made a second bid for Mason Mount, but Chelsea is not ready to sell their star player in any less amount than their valuation. United’s initial offer of £40 million was rejected, prompting them to return with a bid of nearly £50 million. However, Chelsea values Mount at £70 million, and negotiations are ongoing. Mount, with one year left on his contract, has seen talks for a new deal collapse, and reports suggest he is open to a move to Old Trafford. United believes their £50 million offer is fair, considering Mount could leave for free in a year, but they are reluctant to meet Chelsea’s £70 million demand. The transfer depends on Chelsea lowering their asking price.

Ilkay Gundogan close to Barcelona

Barcelona has reportedly reached an agreement with Ilkay Gundogan to sign him on a free transfer from Manchester City. The speculation surrounding this deal has been widespread throughout the day and the Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tweeted stating Gundogan is willing for a free transfer. The reported terms of the agreement state that Gundogan will join Barcelona for a two-year contract set to expire in June 2025.

Bayern Munich looking at Pau Torres

Bayern Munich might be nearing the signing of Kim Min Jae but they are not planning to stop there as they continue strengthening up their defence. The club is allegedly looking at Villarreal’s Pau Torres as a potential defender for their side. The highly demanded Villarreal defender managed to stay with his current team last year despite interest from various European clubs after an impressive UEFA Champions League campaign. However, the situation may be different this time as Bayern Munich reportedly expresses their interest in acquiring the star defender.
