After three successive wins over Granada CF, Cadiz and Alaves last month, Real Sociedad were forced to share the spoils in their last two outings against the likes of bottom-placed Almeria and mid-table side Getafe. Although the result extended their unbeaten run to five games, Imanol Alguacil’s side allowed Betis to close the gap to just three points. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are heading into the match on the back of a thrilling come-from-behind 3-2 win over defending champions Barcelona on Sunday. Two equalisers from Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vazquez and Jude Bellingham’s 91st-minute winner helped Real Madrid secure all three points versus Blaugrana and move 11 points clear at the summit. It was their 25th league-win of the season and Los Blancos have now extended their unbeaten run to 17 games in all competitions.
