The Tigers are heading into the match on the back of a thrilling 3-2 win over Coventry City last Saturday, while the Tractor Boys were held to a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough almost two weeks ago.
Ipswich Town will be bidding to return to the top two in the EFL Championship standings when they travel to MKM Stadium to take on Hull City on Saturday. The visitors are currently occupying third spot in the English second tier table, having collected 89 points from 43 games, just a solitary point adrift of second-placed Leeds United, who are occupying the final automatic qualification spot and have played two games more. The Tigers, on the other hand, are sitting at the seventh position, with 69 points to their name from 44 league matches, three away from the playoff (top six).

Hull kept their playoff hops alive with a dramatic 3-2 victory away to Coventry City on Wednesday night. The Tigers took the lead twice in the first-half courtesy of Jaden Philogene’s opener on the half-hour mark and Fabio Carvalho’s effort on the stroke of half-time before being pegged back by Kasey Palmer and Bobby Thomas efforts. However, it was the visitors who had the last laugh with substitute Noah Ohio firing home the winner 15 minutes from time at Coventry Building Society Arena. It was their 19th Championship-win of the season and the result extended their unbeaten run to five games, collecting 11 points in the period. Meanwhile, home-form has been a cause of concern for Liam Rosenior’s side, having won only eight of their 22 second tier games at MKM Stadium.
Ipswich, on the other hand, are heading into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough on April 13. The Tractor Boys came from behind to earn a point against Boro thanks to Massimo Luongo’s equaliser on the half-hour mark. The result extended their winless run to three games, collecting just two points in the process. Despite the poor run of form, Kieran McKenna’s side are in a good position to finish in the Championship top two as they have two games in hand over second-placed Leeds United, who are just a solitary point away. Although, Ipswich lost two of their last three games on the road, they have the second-best away-record in the league this season, collecting 38 points from a possible 63.
