The midfielder’s six-year stint at Inter Milan was considered disappointing, as he couldn’t live up to the high expectations set for him despite showing promise at his childhood club, Atalanta. American winger Christian Pulisic, who garnered interest from Lyon, was focused solely on a move to Milan. Chelsea has reportedly lowered their asking price to encourage Milan to make a second bid. A fee of around £20m, including bonuses, has been agreed upon for Pulisic’s transfer to San Siro, and personal terms were already settled earlier this month.
Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte has officially signed with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after Chelsea withdrew from the competition. PSG acquired Ugarte from Sporting CP for a transfer fee of 60 million euros. Ugarte joins recent signings such as Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, and Lucas Hernandez as PSG aims for success in European competitions.

Bayern Munich has made an enhanced bid of £70m along with additional payments to secure the transfer of Harry Kane from Tottenham. The initial offer of £60m plus add-ons, made by Bayern last month, was turned down by Spurs as they considered it insufficient. As part of their replacement plan for their current Cameroonian goalkeeper, Inter aims to sign 21-year-old Ukrainian talent Trubin and 34-year-old Swiss international Sommer. Progress has reportedly been made in their pursuit of Trubin, although their €10 million offer has yet to convince Shakhtar. However, Inter has successfully convinced Trubin himself to consider the move. This shows Inter’s proactive approach in strengthening their goalkeeping department, with Sommer’s demand for a starting position and their pursuit of both Trubin and Sommer.
Lucas Hernandez, a 2018 World Cup winner with France, secured a treble with Bayern Munich in his debut season. He played a vital role in Bayern’s Champions League triumph over PSG after clinching domestic league and cup titles. Hernandez, who scored two goals in 107 appearances for Bayern, has now joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on a five-year contract. He expressed his excitement, stating that he had eagerly awaited this move to PSG. Despite sustaining a knee injury during the 2022 World Cup, Hernandez was selected for the French squad, but couldn’t continue playing in the tournament. France reached the final but suffered a penalty shootout defeat against Argentina.
