The bizarre storyline unfolded during a SmackDown episode in September 2022, featuring a back-to-school fashion show. The highlight was supposed to be Braun Strowman’s attack on Mace and Mansoor, with a twist involving a lunchbox.
Triple H, the mastermind behind the segment, was adamant that the punctuation note of the scene would be Braun enjoying a ham sandwich from the lunchbox that Mace carried. The WWE went to great lengths to ensure that the sandwich remained fresh, even keeping it on ice to avoid spoilage.
However, the segment didn’t go exactly as planned. Mace and Mansoor expected a sequence that involved Braun bulldozing them, then noticing the lunchbox and enjoying the sandwich before powerbombing Mansoor while savoring his snack. Instead, chaos ensued.
