The rift between CM Punk and Corey Graves, once close friends turned estranged, has finally been healed, marking a significant reconciliation between the two WWE figures.

Graves openly acknowledged their past discord, admitting to unprofessional behavior in publicly discussing Punk. However, with Punk’s return to WWE at the 2023 Survivor Series, the opportunity for resolution arose.

During a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, Graves revealed that the Royal Rumble provided the setting for a pivotal moment of reconciliation between him and Punk. They seized the chance to address their issues, offering apologies and reigniting their friendship.

“At the Royal Rumble, at Tropicana Field, I actually got to pull him aside for a few minutes, and we cleared the air. Had a nice, long chat. We apologized for some things over the years and realized that this is where we both belong, this is where we both want to be,” Graves shared.

The exchange not only buried the hatchet but also reignited a friendship that held deep significance for both men. Graves expressed genuine excitement about Punk’s return to WWE, emphasizing the personal significance of reconnecting with his once-close friend.

The Royal Rumble encounter, however, was bittersweet for Punk, as he suffered a torn triceps that sidelined him for WrestleMania 40. Despite the setback, Punk’s return has marked a “welcome change” in WWE, as he himself acknowledged in a recent interview.

With their past grievances resolved, Punk and Graves can now move forward on a positive note, embracing the renewed camaraderie and shared passion for WWE.
