In her interview, Ripley clarified that the brace was for her wrist, which had been bothering her for some time but was nothing she couldn’t handle. She attributed the injury to the “wear and tear” of wrestling over an extended period, emphasizing that such issues were par for the course in their line of work.
“Just doing my job. Wear and tear. Just continuously on the road, continuously having matches and doing all these things, and every now and then, something happens, but you just overcome it pretty much,” Ripley explained. She mentioned that the injury had been bothering her for a few months but that she had only been wearing the cast for about a week-and-a-half.
However, Ripley’s reassurances were met with an unexpected interruption during the interview, as Becky Lynch stormed onto the set with evident fury. Amidst the chaos, Lynch wasted no time in targeting Ripley’s injured arm, indicating her intentions to exploit the weakness in their upcoming match.
