WWE superstar Rhea Ripley recently opened up about a painful experience with her nipple piercings, describing the ordeal as “horrible” during a conversation on fellow WWE star Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast.
The Women’s World Champion, known for her gothic aesthetic and bold persona, revealed that while she’s no stranger to piercings and tattoos, getting her nipples pierced was a particularly challenging experience. Recounting the process, Ripley admitted to undergoing the procedure multiple times due to complications.
“When you get the first one you’re like, I don’t wanna go through that again! I did it four times. I got them done twice,” Ripley shared candidly, acknowledging the discomfort she endured during the piercing process.
Describing the initial piercing, Ripley explained that the piercer used a thinner bar than necessary, resulting in swelling and subsequent complications. “Obviously when you get a piercing it swells up, starts to eat the bloody bar and the ball on the end,” she explained, detailing the need for corrective measures shortly after the initial procedure.

Despite her high pain threshold in the wrestling ring, Ripley emphasized the severity of the experience, describing it as “horrible” and “not fun.” Nevertheless, she expressed her resilience, noting that she has grown accustomed to wearing the piercings during her matches.
In a light-hearted moment, Ripley jokingly advised against male nipple piercings, citing potential discomfort and practical challenges. “I feel like nipple’s probably not the best way to go if you’re a male just because it gets caught on things so easily,” she laughed, offering insight based on her own experiences.
Away from her piercing ordeal, Ripley appears to be dealing with an injury leading up to WrestleMania 40, although details remain scarce. Despite the setback, Ripley continues to entertain fans with her fearless in-ring performances and captivating presence.
