As far as legends come and go, there isn’t a name as big as Kevin Nash. Nash main evented both WWE and WCW and was really the main man during the 90s. He had a lot of personas and one of his best ones was when he named Diesel. That was truly his golden era when he won title after title and cemented his place among the greats of the wrestling world.

During his very long career, Nash had some great and memorable rivals. Not only when he was a singles competitor but also when he was part of the New World Order. The fans loved every time Nash took the mic as his mic skills were second to none. In this article, we take a look at some of his best rivals.

Shawn Michaels

Kevin Nash was best friends with Shawn Michaels and it was on the insistence of Michaels that he signed with the WWE. Since they were best friends, they obviously had great chemistry when they were in the ring together. Nash was called Diesel and was portrayed as being the bodyguard of Shawn Michaels.

Michaels and Diesel went head to head for the WWE title at WrestleMania 11 and what made that match even more interesting was the fact that Diesel had Pamela Anderson by his side. WWE witnessed their feud improving, even more, the following year when the roles reversed. Michaels was the face defending the title for the first time against the now heel Nash.

The Undertaker

The heel turn of Diesel opened up a lot of avenues in the WWE and saw him enter a feud with The Undertaker. A fun segment of Undertaker appearing from under the ring to drag Kevin Nash back down and lose his rematch to Bret Hart made fans want to see their match.

The two giants went head to head at WrestleMania 12 where The Undertaker scored the decisive win. Nash was getting ready to leave for WCW, so WWE made sure to book the program in a way that elevated Undertaker moving forward.

Bret Hart

Kevin Nash was Bret Hart’s favourite opponent and it was openly professed by the Hitman. The New Generation Era saw Vince McMahon pushing Hart and Diesel as the two most protected superstars for years.

Bret defeated Diesel and took the WWE Championship off him in a great match at Survivor Series in 1995. This particular rivalry caused Nash to snap and turn heel for a rematch down the road. Even though Nash was a big man and not considered a great technical wrestler, putting him up against Hart only served to elevate him and make him look great in the process.
