Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is leaving no stones unturned to prepare for the much-anticipated match-up against Brock Lesnar at the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble. The 273 pounds fighter has always made his desires clear to face The Beast Incarnate. He defeated Big E, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins to become the number one contender for Lesnar’s WWE Championship. And now the All Mighty revealed that he has been preparing for the incredible match-up and putting a little bit of weight in anticipation of it. The Beast Incarnate recently pinned Big E at the Day 1 pay-per-view to capture the World Championship belt and remains in red hot form heading into the Royal Rumble.

“I’m gonna prepare, putting a little bit of weight on, because over the last few months I was kind of cardioing up a bit more. We’ve already talked about putting a little bit of weight on and just kind of getting our striking down,” Lashley explained on Corey Graves’ After The Bell podcast.

“Brock is heartless in a good way for a fighter, because I know that he’s gonna be the toughest fight that I’ve had… I’ve stood in front of many of these guys [other performers] throughout the years… They’re hopping around, they’re trying to get in character… They’re faking it. When I looked at Brock, it was a little different. Brock will go out there and break your neck and walk out with his security guards and Paul and prance right out of the arena and not care about anything,” he said in the latest edition of WWE’s The Bump.

It was in 2021 that Lesner returned to the company for his third stint sporting a farmer look with a beard and ponytail. He pinned defending champion Big E to become the reigning WWE champion.

The World Champion will take on Bobby Lashley in the Royal Rumble. However, he remains more keen to face Roman Reigns in the upcoming SmackDown. “A comment? I do have a comment. Tell Roman Reigns I’ll see him this Friday on SmackDown,” Brock Lesnar said.

His bout with Reigns at the SmackDown for the Universal Championship was postponed after The Tribal Chief tested positive for COVID-19. It is expected to be a mouth-watering contest as the duo have shared a long rivalry besides having enthralled the fans with their stature. Moreover, Lesnar is also expected to enter the contest, as the favourite.
Meanwhile, The Beast Incarnate was added to the event’s other world title contest.
