It is well and truly WrestleMania 38 season for WWE now. The biggest pro wrestling company in the world is gearing up for their annual ‘Show of Shows’.

And, according to a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, four of the marquee matches are already set in stone.

These include matches for the WWE and Universal championship, as well as for the RAW and SmackDown women’s championships.

The Universal title match will see current champion Roman Reigns take on Brock Lesnar. That match has been in the works for a while, even with Lesnar’s surprise WWE championship win at Day 1.

The WWE championship will see Seth Rollins defend the title against one of Big E, Bobby Lashley or Kevin Owens. This makes sense, since these three are RAW’s top superstars at this point.

It does, however, beg the question as to how WWE plan on getting there. As things stand, Lesnar will defend his WWE title against Lashley at the Royal Rumble. The same event will see Reigns and Rollins face off for the Universal title.

Doubtless plans are in place to see these matches end in a way that will lead to the planned matches at WrestleMania 38. Of course, things can always change in WWE’s long-term plans as has been proven before.

Women’s title matches at WrestleMania 38

Besides the two male primary titles, there are also plans in place for the women’s primary titles. The RAW women’s champion, Becky Lynch, is currently set to defend her title against Bianca Belair.

This makes sense given how recent events have transpired. In a triple threat number one contender’s match for the RAW women’s championship, Lynch made sure that Belair did not win. Instead, it was Doudrop who gets to face ‘Big Time Becks’ at the Rumble.

However, Belair can easily win the Royal Rumble – or any future #1 contender’s match – and get a shot at Lynch.

The SmackDown women’s champion Charlotte Flair, on the other hand, is set for a match with Sasha Banks. This is WWE revisiting a rivalry that was heated in 2016 – and with similar alignments too.

Flair is very much the arrogant heel, whereas Banks is the charismatic hard worker fans love to cheer regardless of her alignment. This too should be an excellent bout – and could potentially be a show stealer.

As of now, there is little direction over the secondary belts. There are no set feuds for the US title, Intercontinental title, or all three sets of tag team champions.

Those will most likely be decided in due course.
