Mumbai Indians' prolific batter Suryakumar Yadav returned to full fitness and joined the IPL 2022 bio-bubble on Thursday.

India top-order batter Suryakumar Yadav handed Mumbai Indians a major boost on Thursday as he joined the IPL 2022 bio-bubble ahead of their clash against Rajasthan Royals at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Saturday.
The Mumbai batter underwent rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after suffering a thumb injury during the home series against the West Indies last month.
”Suryakumar Yadav exited his mandatory quarantine and joined the team (on Wednesday) for the gym session in the company of his mates Kieron Pollard, Ishan Kishan and Jasprit Bumrah… The mood in the camp is upbeat,” MI said in a statement.
”The team underwent a strength and conditioning session yesterday under the watchful eyes of Paul Chapman. The session involved weight and fitness training, with the focus on working on core fitness and building strength.”

There were large speculations over Suryakumar Yadav’s availability for Mumbai Indians opening contest as he picked up a thumb injury during the final T20I of a three-match series against the West Indies last month following which he went to the National Cricket Academy to start his rehabilitation.
Mumbai Indians lost their opening IPL 2022 contest against Delhi Capitals by four wickets at the Brabourne Stadium. Young Anmolpreet Singh batted at No.3 for the four-time champions in that match in absence of Yadav. He could only contribute eight runs to the team’s tally of 177/5 after being asked to bat.
However, Yadav, will have to undergo his mandatory three-day quarantine period before he can make himself available to be picked up for the next match. His participation for the match against Rajasthan Royals still remains in doubt.
