Lilia Kha-Tu Du Vu, also known as Lilia Vu, is an American golfer who is currently making waves in her professional career. In 2023, she achieved her first major victory at the prestigious Chevron Championship. Later in the same year, in August 2023, Vu won the Women’s British Open 2023. Her impressive six-shot victory over Charley Hull in this tournament solidified her position as one of the top golfers in the world. In fact, this victory made her the number golfer in the Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Lilia Vu‘s journey in the golf world has been marked by numerous achievements while representing the USA national team. In 2018, she played a major role in securing victory at the Curtis Cup. In 2016, she prevailed at the Women’s Southern California Amateur Championship. Lilia Vu’s collegiate journey began in 2015 when she joined UCLA. During her time as a UCLA Bruin, she was announced the Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Year in 2016. She was recognized for being a three-time WGCA First Team All-American and All-Pac 12 performer. She holds the top position on UCLA’s all-time career victory list with eight individual titles.

While her initial journey on the LPGA Tour included only one cut made in nine starts, Vu continued to evolve her game. Her breakthrough year came in 2021 when she clinched victory in three Symetra Tour events, elevating her to the top 250 in the Women’s World Golf Rankings for the first time.

Among her notable achievements in 2021, Vu achieved victories at the Garden City Charity Classic, Twin Bridges Championship, and Four Winds Invitational. Additionally, she claimed the 2021 Potawatomi Cup and the accompanying bonus prize money. Her outstanding performances throughout the season earned her the title of Symetra Tour Player of the Year and granted her the highly coveted LPGA Tour card for 2022.
