32-year-old Ilkay Gundogan has reportedly left Manchester City as a free transfer to join Barcelona on a two-year deal. He played a crucial role in City’s Treble-winning season, contributing 11 goals in 51 games. Gundogan will reunite with former teammate Xavi, who played under City manager Pep Guardiola at Barcelona. The midfielder, who captained Manchester City, decided to embrace a new challenge in La Liga with Barcelona. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe aims to strengthen his squad for their return to the Champions League. After signing Sandro Tonali for £55 million, Newcastle has made a club-record bid of £82 million for winger Kvaratskhelia. Napoli, Kvaratskhelia’s current club, has yet to respond and is reportedly hesitant to sell. Kvaratskhelia had an impressive season with Napoli, scoring 14 goals and providing 17 assists in 43 appearances, attracting interest from top clubs like Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

Inter Milan has contacted Juventus to sign Juan Cuadrado on a free transfer. Cuadrado’s contract is expiring, and talks of renewal have stalled. AC Milan and Inter Milan have shown interest in the Colombian winger. Financial issues at Juventus may complicate the deal. Cuadrado has won five Serie A titles and made 314 appearances for Juventus. At 35 years old, he would bring experience and competition for Denzel Dumfries at Inter. This move aligns with Inter’s strategy of signing experienced players.

FC Bayern Munich officially sign Kim Min-Jae

26-year-old Kim played a vital role in Napoli’s Serie A title win, ending a 33-year wait. He was named the best defender in Serie A after making 35 league appearances in his debut season in Italy. Bayern Munich, led by Thomas Tuchel, secured the Bundesliga title on goal difference and has reportedly been linked with a move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane. Bayern reportedly paid a release clause of £43 million (50 million euros) to sign Kim. Starting his career in South Korea’s lower tiers, Kim later played in the Chinese Super League before joining Napoli from Fenerbahce in 2022.

Manchester City reject Al-Ahli’s bid for Riyad Mahrez

Manchester City has reportedly rejected an £18 million bid from Al Ahli for Riyad Mahrez and is awaiting an improved offer. Talks are also underway regarding Kyle Walker’s future amidst interest from Bayern Munich. City will discuss their bid for Red Bull Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol on Tuesday. Mahrez, 32, has spent five years at Manchester City but appears to be on his way out after reportedly accepting personal terms with Al Ahli. Since joining in 2018, Mahrez has made 236 appearances for City, scoring 78 goals. Feeling disappointed about being benched in the Champions League and FA Cup finals, he sees a fresh opportunity in Saudi Arabia with an offer of £43 million per year plus bonuses for two years.

Manchester United eyeing Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund and are preparing to make their first official bid. The club has been in talks with Atalanta and previously offered cash plus players, but the offer was rejected. Atalanta has reportedly set a minimum price of £60 million for Hojlund and wants the entire payment in cash. However, United may face challenges meeting the price due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions and will need to sell players to comply with the regulations. Additionally, United is also scouting Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat and has been linked with Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka as potential midfield targets.
