The result extended their unbeaten run to nine games in the Italian top flight, drawing seven along the way. With six games remaining, Vincenzo Italiano’s side are sitting 12 points away from the European spot, therefore their primary focus would be on the two Cup competitions they remain in. Fiorentina will face Basel in the two legged Europa Conference League semi-final tie, before taking on Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia final later this month. Both competitions offer Fiorentina the chance to qualify for the Europa League next season.
Both these sides have faced each other only on 15 occasions, with nine of them going in favour of Fiorentina, while Granata prevailed in four encounters.
