PSV made a dominant start to their league campaign as they put four goals past Emmen last weekend. Johan Bakayoko opened the scoring, Maikel Kieftenbeld netted an own goal and then Cody Gakpo scored a brace to secure the win for Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s side. Monaco on the other hand secured three points against Strasbourg in their Ligue 1 opener courtesy of goals from Krepin Diatta and Sofiane Diop. Philippe Clement’s side displayed a dominant performance to create 24 goal-scoring chances, with 11 shots on target. Tuesday’s fixture is likely to be high-scoring encounter as both teams play an attacking brand of football.
PSV’s Carlos Vinicius, Noni Madueke, Olivier Boscagli and Mauro Junior are all sidelined with injuries. Last game’s goal-scorer Bakayoko could earn a place in the starting eleven alongside De Jong and Gakpo in the attacking department.
