Perth Glory had a disastrous start to the league campaign, having lost four of their opening five games. However, the Glory have pocketed seven points from their next five matches, having won two of them. Their latest success came against WS Wanderers in the last outing, courtesy of Keegan Jelacic’s lone goal on the hour-mark. Although, that three points was not enough for Ruben Zadkovich’s side to move out of the 12th spot, they now sit level on points with Melbourne Victory and can move into ninth position with another win on Tuesday.Â
Brisbane Roar, on the other hand, are sitting at the top half of the table, and can move to as high as third spot with a success against the Glory. Last time out, a second half goal from Jay O’Shea separated the two sides at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium. It was their third league-win of the season, while they have drawn six. Warren Moon’s men are undefeated in their last eight games.
Perth Glory midfielder Salim Khelifi suffered a groin injury in the last outing and may not be available for Tuesday’s match, while his partner in the engine room Joseph Forde also was taken off and is doubtful for the next outing. Therefore, Luke Bodnar and Zachary Duncan might come into the playing eleven. Dowse and Ivanovic are expected to partner up front, with Clisby and Forde occupying the flanks. As for Brisbane Roar, Moon may not tinker too much with the team that started against Melbourne Victory. Carlo Armiento and Nikola Mileusnic could form the attacking-duo, with Hingert, Hore and Trewin occupying the engine room.Â
Perth Glory possible line-up: Cook, Lanchman, Muir, Koutroumbis, Forde, Duncan, Amini, Jelacic, Clisby, Dowse, Ivanovic
Brisbane Roar possible line-up: Holmes, Chapman, Courtney-Perkins, Neville, Hingert, Hore, Trewin, O’Shea, Knowles, Armiento, Mileusnic
