Leicester City would be bidding to return to the summit of the EFL Championship standings when they play host to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. The hosts are currently occupying second spot in the English second tier table, having collected 88 points from 42 games, just a solitary point adrift of Ipswich Town but with a game in hand. Baggies, on the other hand, are sitting at the fifth position, with 72 points to their name from 43 league games, seven away from seventh-placed Hull City, who are just outside the playoffs.

Leicester have recorded 28 wins, four draws and ten defeats from 42 Championship games this season. Their last success came against Birmingham City on April 6. However, after that, the Foxes lost back-to-back matches against Millwall and Plymouth Argyle both with an identical scoreline of 1-0. On Saturday Enzo Maresca’s side lost out to Plymouth despite having almost 70% possession and attempting 17 shots. It was their sixth defeat from last ten outings. With four fixtures remaining to play in their second tier campaign, Leicester still have a very good chance to earn promotion via clinching the Championship title.
West Brom, on the other hand, saw their ten-game unbeaten run in the Championship come to an end with a narrow 1-0 loss to Sunderland at the weekend. The Baggies suffered their 11th league-defeat of the season versus the Black Cats courtesy of Pierre Ekwah’s lone goal on the stroke of half-time. Despite the defeat, Carlos Corberan’s side’s play-off fate is very much in their own hands, as they are seven points clear of seventh-placed Hull. Meanwhile, West Brom’s away-form this term hasn’t been very great, winning just six of their 21 outings in the division, but they are unbeaten in their last seven second tier matches on the road.
Leicester City probable starting lineup: Hermansen, Pereira, Faes, Vestergaard, Justin, Winks, Ndidi, Dewsbury-Hall, Fatawu, Mavididi, Vardy
West Bromwich Albion probable starting lineup: Palmer, Furlong, Bartley, Kipre, Townsend, Yokuslu, Mowatt, Fellows, Diangana, Johnston, Wallace
