Millwall secured all three points against the Seasiders at Bloomfield Road courtesy of Tom Bradshaw’s brace and Zian Flemming’s winner from the penalty spot. It was their 19th league-win of the season. Meanwhile, Millwall have won 11 of their 22 home-games in the Championship this term but their last match at the Den ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City. Despite recording just two wins from their last eight outings, the Lions have managed to keep their fate in their own hands, holding a two-point lead over the chasing pack ahead of the final matchday.
Blackburn, on the other hand, are winless in their last eight second tier games, while drawing five in the period. The Rovers shared the spoils against Luton last time out thanks to Hayden Carter’s 86th-minute equaliser. Meanwhile, the Riversides will definitely need to take all three points at the Den on Monday and rely on Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion failing to win their respective fixtures at Preston North End and Swansea respectively, to secure a top six finish. Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side have the sixth worst away-record in the league, having collected just 23 points from 22 outings. On a positive note, the Rovers secured a 2-1 win over Millwall in the reverse fixture in October last year courtesy of second-half efforts from Tyrhys Dolan and Brereton Diaz.
Millwall probable starting lineup: Long, Leonard, Hutchinson, Cooper, McNamara, Mitchell, Saville, Styles, Flemming, Bradshaw, Watmore
Blackburn Rovers probable starting lineup: Pears, Rankin-Costello, Carter, Hyam, Pickering, Travis, A.Wharton, Thomas, Szmodics, Brereton-Diaz, Dolan
