WWE legend Booker T has spoken highly of Big E after he lost his World Championship belt to Brock Lesnar at the Day 1 pay-per-view. Lesner pinned Big E to capture the belt and is now scheduled to defend it against Bobby Lashley at Royal Rumble 2022. However, the six-time World Champion believes that Big E had a good run with the championship belt and it made him a better performer. Booker T also mentioned that the World Champion tag also developed his character and persona as a wrestler which will help him further in his career.

“I thought Big E had a good run and I thought the championship made him better,” former wrestler Booker T said in the latest episode of ‘Reality of Wrestling’.

“It was almost one of those things where I always say that when you win the title, it makes you a better performer, normally, just because you know that you’re the World Heavyweight Champion. You walk a different way. You feel a different way. I don’t know what it is, but that effect definitely got a hold of Big E, and you can see him falling into that role as being the champion. He believed he should have been the champion,” he added.

The former powerlifter, who dreamt of becoming a professional footballer, grew through the ranks at WWE after he was convinced of his prowess following a tryout at Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), a developmental territory of World Wrestling Entertainment. He later signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2009 and since then has achieved remarkable success in his career.

Booker T feels that the American still has around 10 years in him to build his stature around the business which can fulfil his dreams of becoming a great for the company.

“I thought he did a great job. We didn’t get a chance to see Big E have a whole lot of classic matches as champion or anything like that, but I think that’s where Big E has a chance to come back and capture it again and grow,” Booker T said.

“I think Big E is going to be in this business for at least 5 to perhaps 8-10 more years, maybe, in this business, not the WWE, but in the business. He has a chance to grow over this time and become the performer he wants to be,” he concluded.
