Tonight (July 7, 2023) WWE Friday Night SmackDown returns to our lives with a live broadcast from New York City’s Madison Square Garden, covering all the repercussions from this past Saturday’s Money in the Bank event. The Grayson Waller Effect features Edge, AJ Styles faces Karrion Kross, Sheamus fights Austin Theory for the US Title, and more. Roman Reigns goes to Tribal Court.
“The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa were defeated by The Usos in The Bloodline Civil War on Saturday at Money in the Bank. Reigns’ situation was made worse when Jey Uso defeated The Head of the Table following an earth-shattering Uso Splash, pinning Reigns for the first time since TLC 2019. The “Trial of The Tribal Chief” will be broadcast live on SmackDown on Friday from Madison Square Garden when The Head of the Table visits Tribal Court.
As Edge, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, is scheduled to be an appearance on the hottest new SmackDown programme this Friday, “The Grayson Waller Effect,” it will be rated-R. Since being eliminated in the first round of Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ World Heavyweight Title Tournament, the Rated-R Superstar has not been seen. Since joining SmackDown, U.S. Champion Austin Theory has acquired a strong dislike for The Brawling Brutes. Theory defeated The Celtic Warrior in his first defense of the United States Championship on the blue brand, with the assistance of Pretty Deadly, who he had recently become friends with. Since then, The Brawling Brutes and Theory and Pretty Deadly have fought each other, with Theory and Pretty Deadly ultimately triumphing.
The Celtic Warrior stepped in to help Theory last week on SmackDown after Theory defeated Ridge Holland in a Championship Contender’s bout and continued to beat him down after the bout. Sheamus will face Theory once more the next week for another shot at the US Championship. Will Theory maintain the status quo, or will Sheamus flip the U.S. Title into the banger championship? Next week’s SmackDown is a must-see.
The Harbinger of Doom defeated AJ Styles and Michin two weeks ago by working with Scarlett to inflict pain on The Phenomenal One. The following week, Kross explained his plans for Styles while enjoying the pain he had put the man through and pledged to do it again. Styles prevailed in their first one-on-one encounter. Will Kross succeed in his road of suffering, or can The Phenomenal One beat him once more?
