The WWE is home to some of the best legends of the wrestling business but there is one that stands head and shoulders above the rest and he is The Rock. The People’s Champ is currently one of the biggest stars in Hollywood but he is still in tip top shape when it comes to his physique.

The Rock takes care of his body like any wrestler should and it should come as no surprise that the fans want to see him put on his wrestling boots one more time. There are a few opponents that The Rock can target if and when he comes back to the WWE. We will look at three of them in this article.

Roman Reigns

The Rock vs Roman Reigns has been making the rounds in the wrestling world for over a year now. Ever since Roman Reigns took on the role of the Tribal Chief, fans from all over the world have been clamoring for The Rock to make a comeback and put Roman in his place. However, for that to happen, the match needs to be at WrestleMania as it is that big. Given that Roman is taking on Cody Rhodes at this year’s WrestleMania, it is safe to say that this dream match will not happen this year and any plans of it should be moved back to WrestleMania 40.

Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens did an excellent job at WrestleMania 38 when he took on Stone Cold Steve Austin. He lost the match but he complemented Steve Austin well and made sure that he did not make it awkward for the WWE Hall of Famer as he was making his in-ring comeback after 20 years. The same can be said for The Rock. His last full time run in the WWE was in 2013 and given that he is 50 years old, he will need to be in the ring with someone who is a seasoned pro. Owens is a great option and what will also work in his favour is his rivalry with the Bloodline. The Rock can come back and take offence to how Owens has been wanting to take down his family. It would make for a good story.

Brock Lesnar

It is fair to say that Brock Lesnar pushed The Rock into retirement. After losing the WWE title to Brock Lesnar at Summerslam 2002, the Rock stepped away from the ring to pursue a career in Hollywood. Now that turned out to be a huge success but it still left a sour taste for all the dedicated fans of the Brahma Bull. Dwayne Johnson can come back and go after Lesnar by stating that he wants to take down the Beast before he retires for good. The match would sell like no other match in history and would have the fans, both young and old on their feet.
