Amidst the excitement surrounding this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class, rumors are swirling about the inclusion of another illustrious figure in wrestling history: Lia Maivia.

According to the latest reports from Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Maivia is speculated to be part of the esteemed 2024 Hall of Fame class, adding to the already star-studded lineup that includes Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, and the US Express.

Lia Maivia, known for her groundbreaking role as one of wrestling’s first female promoters, stepped into the limelight after the passing of her husband, ‘High Chief’ Peter Maivia, in 1982. Taking over Hawai’s Polynesian Pro Wrestling, she left an indelible mark on the industry before the promotion closed its doors in 1988. Maivia’s legacy transcends wrestling, as her life story has been portrayed in her grandson Dwayne Johnson’s acclaimed TV series, Young Rock.

Other big names making their name for WWE Hall of Fame 2024

Alongside Maivia, another name making rounds in Hall of Fame speculation is Haku, adding to the anticipation of this year’s induction ceremony. With only four names confirmed so far, including Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, and the US Express, the potential addition of Maivia and Haku promises to make the 2024 Hall of Fame class even more memorable.

Under the stewardship of Paul Levesque, this year’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony is poised to offer a fresh perspective, potentially ushering in new traditions and surprises. Wrestling enthusiasts eagerly await the unveiling of the complete class, with the ceremony scheduled to take place immediately after SmackDown on April 5th at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center.
