On Wednesday night’s loaded program, the New Japan Pro Wrestling star broke through the Forbidden Door on AEW as he made his debut appearance for Tony Khan’s business.
White stunned spectators in a backstage sequence featuring the Young Bucks and Adam Cole, just moments before Keith Lee made an explosive in-ring debut.
When White interrupted the group, they were fighting Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero of Roppongi Vice.
The new star, who had a surprise debut for IMPACT Wrestling at Slammiversary last year, flung Beretta into a production truck as he made a lighthearted entrance seconds before Lee’s own.
Khan explained the last-minute arrangement on Twitter:‘I didn’t secure @JayWhiteNZ until Sunday. I realized after the fact that Friday night I butchered my own definition of Forbidden Door in hyping tonight.
‘I heard the fans’ feedback, & wanted to ensure that tonight was a special #AEWDynamite for all. Thank you everyone who watched!’

Even though Lee wasn’t a real Forbidden Door debutante, the excitement was palpable when the Limitless One – who was released by WWE last year – was introduced as the company’s huge new recruit.
Isiah Kassidy of the Private Party, surrounded by Marq Quen and Matt Hardy, awaited his opponent in a Face of the Revolution qualifier, and it was no other than former NXT and Raw superstar.
He came out to a thunderous ovation and completely dominated Kassidy, putting him away with a fireman’s carry power slam before finishing Quen after the bell rang.
Wardlow defeated The Blade, Ortiz and Santana challenged Chris Jericho and Jake Hager to a fight next week, and CM Punk and his surprise partner Jon Moxley defeated FTR following a top-of-the-show exchange with The Pinnacle.
‘Hangman’ Adam Page is still the AEW World Champion after defeating Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match, and Jade Cargill retained her TBS Championship over Booker T’s protege A.Q.A.
