As WWE WrestleMania 40 gets closer, fans feel more and more eager because Reigns and Rhodes will fight it out again in the main event. Most recently, Roman Reigns made an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” providing rare insights into his take on the altering situation.

Not afraid of being honest, Reign spoke about what drove him to a dream match against The Rock to focus on his scheduled match with the Rhodes. Reigns had to confront The Rock but acknowledged that it would have been a marvelous match-up leaving the fans mind-blown. However, Reigns felt disappointed as Rhodes and his followers denied him the chance to fight a potential dream match that would have had the potential of being a historic moment.

Missed Opportunity Against The Rock and Facing Cody Rhodes Instead

The WWE Universal champion spared no words in his talk about Rhodes whom he called a “crybaby.” Reigns implied that if he had not been protected, then Rhodes would not have gained the fan base that caused first Rock’s interest and later his ability to compete against the most profitable opponent of the decade. He felt that an amazing opportunity was robbed from him.

Though he was devastated at the moment, Reigns realized that the business has its ups and downs, and he has to be flexible and handle whatever comes. Nevertheless, the mask barely concealed his irritation at the fact that he had to face Rhodes rather than The Rock at WrestleMania.

In Reigns’ eyes, the match against Rock was the final destination of his road the main opportunity for him to become immortal and confirm his position for good that he had been the best of all times. Instead of getting the chance to make a statement with such authority, however, Reigns saw that he had been usurped – leaving him to instead question how much unfinished business remained.
