On SmackDown’s May 19th programme versus The Brawling Brutes, Pretty Deadly made their main roster ring debut. Elton Prince and Kit Wilson were successful in defeating Sheamus and Ridge Holland thanks in part to assistance from Austin Theory. In a Gauntlet Match to determine the top candidates for the Uncontested WWE Tag Team Championships, Prince and Wilson defeated Sheamus and Holland. The majority of the effort was done by the Brawling Brutes, and Pretty Deadly ultimately benefited from this.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles

In the Money in the Bank go-home episode of SmackDown, Pretty Deadly was unable to win the titles from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. On tonight’s SmackDown, Sheamus and Holland will finally have another chance to take on Pretty Deadly after waiting a month. The Brawling Brutes’ victory might put them in a position to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles in the future. The same is true for Pretty Deadly, who, two months after being called up to the main roster, have the chance to establish themselves as one of the top tag teams on SmackDown.

SmackDown

Sheamus and partner Ridge Holland sought retribution over Elton Prince and Kit Wilson in tag team action after having his chance at the United States Championship ruined by Pretty Deadly the previous week in Madison Square Garden. The heels prevailed in a tough, brutal tag battle to seal the outcome, further aggravating The Celtic Warrior and guaranteeing the conflict goes on.

It was a little odd that Austin Theory, who was the victim of the heels’ interference a week before, was nowhere to be found, but not as much if he competes in the four-way battle later in the programme. It will be interesting to watch how this feud ends, but Sheamus is invincible at this point in his career, and Holland has not yet been harmed by these defeats. Pretty Deadly kept gaining momentum in the meanwhile. The combination of that and a strong match makes this part excellent. Ultimately Pretty Deadly surpassed Sheamus & Ridge Holland in a tag team match.
