For almost a decade, Charlotte Flair was one of the mainstays of the WWE Women’s roster. The Queen recently changed to a reduced schedule after taking some time off for personal obligations. After losing to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania in April, she ultimately took a break from the sport. Charlotte left the WWE for over eight months after losing the SmackDown women’s title to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash in May 2022. The Queen required some time to repair her crown after losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship title and had to wait before returning to the ring.

Flair outshined Belair

Bianca Belair was sidelined by Charlotte Flair when she returned after losing the Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka at the Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. Belair never received a rematch. By avoiding the queue while pushing Asuka straight while announcing the winner of the new WWE Women’s Championship, Flair replaced Belair. At Money in the Bank, Flair was denied the championship after Belair struck Asuka during the match, which led to a disqualification and a fight. The following week on SmackDown, the three continued their brawl and were joined by Bayley and IYO, who had come to redeem Asuka’s contract.

Belair WWE Raw women’s champion

In an internal ranking, Bianca Belair, who won the Raw women’s title before switching to SmackDown in the WWE offseason, is ranked ahead of Flair as the No. 2 babyface, according to PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson (via Felix Upton of Ringside News). Asuka seems to be Belair’s main concern right now. The champion’s jubilation on Friday night was marred by The Empress of Tomorrow. But as long as Flair is regarded as one of the division’s major performers, she will continue to exist in the background. She might be available for a featured bout at SummerSlam in August, it would be logical to think.

Now Belair is rumored to face Asuka in a rematch for the WWE Women’s Championship this week on SmackDown, which she has been patiently waiting for. According to rumors, Charlotte Flair’s intervention will cause this match to be disqualified as well, setting up a triple threat match at SummerSlam.
