Since transforming into the Tribal Chief figure, Roman Reigns has ascended to tremendous heights. Since 2020, Reigns has been the face of WWE, becoming the greatest superstar ever. On the other side, fans overwhelmingly embraced the Undisputed Universal Champion for his in-ring abilities and in-ring promos. Recently, Paul Heyman sought an Emmy for Roman Reigns’ amazing performance as the Tribal Chief role.

During an interview with Variety, the special counsel discussed Roman Reigns’ in-ring character and how Reigns has developed it further. Later, Heyman stated that Roman Reigns’ current persona, Tribal Chief, deserved a medal.

“I will honestly state that I’ll put Roman Reigns and his portrayal of the Tribal Chief up against anybody right now in how he has approached a reality-based character of the top star of the industry. The fact that he’s not recognized by the people that are there to reward such performances with an award, to me, is disconcerting,” said Heyman.

Furthermore, he discussed the latest Sami Zayn angle at the 2023 Royal Rumble. He believes WWE should be nominated for an Emmy because the Bloodline narrative is compelling.

“We’re trying to present a body of work that exceeds all boundaries and limitations that have been imposed upon this industry, either self-imposed or imposed by the predetermined notion of what this business is by the outside world, as evidenced by the fact that we’re sitting here today talking about the unfathomable concept of the Emmy Awards because a year ago we would have been laughed out of the conversation. But this is what we strive for,” said Heyman. [H/T Fightful]

Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber

Roman Reigns is now involved in a storyline with Sami Zayn, and both men will square off in the Elimination Chamber soon. Fans, on the other hand, have been completely immersed in the plot. Roman Reigns is a valuable asset to WWE. Despite repeated setbacks in previous years, he surmounted all difficulties and ultimately received the fan love he sought.

WWE’s next premium live event takes place in Quebec on February 18th. You never know what might happen as the road to WrestleMania heats up. It turns out WWE has big plans for the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania 39. Sami Zayn has become one of WWE’s biggest stars in the past year thanks to his organic growth from The Bloodline storyline.

Following what happened at the Royal Rumble event, it looks like Zayn will face off against Roman Reigns in the WWE Elimination Chamber, with Sami Zayn’s story arc on The Bloodline unfolding over the course of several months, and in recent memory. It ended up being one of the most intricate and brilliantly crafted story arcs out there. After months of development, we’ve arrived at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. After retaining the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens at an event, Roman Reigns ordered Sami Zayn to finish off Kevin Owens.

Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania

However, Sami Zayn attacked Roman Reigns and hit him with a chair. Zayn was then systematically destroyed by his lineage, except for Jay Uso, who left the scene and wanted no part of the carnage. In the latest Wrestling Observer Daily He update, Dave Meltzer announced that Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zane is “finalizing as much as possible” at a premium live event.

WrestleMania already has Cody Rhodes in the main event. Of course, this is WWE and everything is subject to change. There were strong rumors that the match would take place at a live event on February 18, with the Elimination Chamber taking place at the Bell Center in Zayn’s hometown of Quebec, Canada. You have to wait for it to be done.
