At Friday night’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, The Miz channeled his inner Steph Curry and made a half-court shot that almost won the game for his team of celebs who were down. Sadly, the referee waived off the half-court shot, much to the relief of Team Dwayne, who won 81-78. Team Ryan was captained by Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith and included the WWE superstar.

The NBA’s All-Star Celebrity Game regulations include a 4-point line that is placed one yard behind the standard 3-point line. The Miz thus had the chance to save his squad by playing the role of a hero!

The Miz’s buzzer-beating shot attempt generated a lot of excitement inside the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, especially after the wrestler sank his hail mary, which resulted in Giannis Antetokounmpo sprinting up and down the floor. The Miz’s shot has now gained popularity on social media, and other mainstream media groups have been re-posting the film on their websites. This is a video of The Miz’s half-court shot.

The Miz had an excellent team

Some well-known people were on The Miz’s crew, including Everett Osborne, Calvin Johnson, Kane Brown, Guillermo Rodriguez, and former NFL star Calvin Johnson. Arike Ogunbowale, Frances Tiafoe, and Hasan Minhaj were among the players on the opposing squad, which was led by NBA icon Dwayne Wade.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DJ Metcalf, who ended with amazing stats of 20 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks for Team Dwayne, was named the game’s MVP. Metcalf would also impress the audience with a number of dunks.

For the Saturday night Elimination Chamber premium live show in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, The Miz appears not to be traveling. The seasoned wrestler and Rick Boogs have recently been at odds; in the last two “WWE Raw” shows, the returning Boogs defeated the veteran wrestler twice in a row.

The Miz is rooting for The Cavs

Although The Miz was born and raised in Parma, Ohio, a city close to Cleveland, he is a great Cleveland Cavs supporter. The former WWE champion predicted that the Cleveland Cavaliers will advance to the NBA Finals while also taking aim at the Los Angeles Lakers in an interview with TMZ Sports in October.

“We’re going to the NBA Finals,” the former WWE champ said. “They got a young squad, and they got some good superstars. They look good, and they look better than the Lakers.”

In regards to Mitchell, who has been enjoying an MVP-caliber season, “The A-Lister” is correct. For the Cavaliers this season, Mitchell is averaging 27.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. With a 38-23 record under his direction, the squad is now in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
