The WWE has had many wrestlers who showcased their strengths like John Cena, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar etc but none came to close to what Lex Luger had achieved with regards to sheer strength. Luger had performed feats that no one thought were possible back then. He is one of those rare wrestlers who successfully managed to have a memorable career in both WWE and WCW. While his WCW stint was more successful, he did manage to have some memorable rivalries in the WWE. He went head to head with legends of the game and in this article, we will take a look at some of them.

Yokozuna

The clash between Lex Luger and Yokozuna at SummerSlam 1993 was a sight to behold. It was the unstoppable force vs the immovable object and the fans were eagerly waiting for the match to happen. The match itself was nothing too special as it was slow considering the size of the two men but it has several great spots and had the crowd on the edge of their seats. The two men exchanged move after move throughout the match. The highlight of the match came when Luger picked up the 600-pound monster and bodyslammed him on the canvas in what was a truly jaw-dropping moment. Unfortunately for Luger, he could not win the match as Yokozuna was counted out.

Mr Perfect

Mr Perfect was truly a perfect wrestler and lived up to his name in a way where he made his opponents look very good in matches. So when he and Luger went head to head, it was a perfect match and their match WrestleMania IX is known as one of the better showings on the card. Lex was portrayed as someone who was trying to get one over Mr Perfect by outsmarting him. Instead of hitting him with his running forearm, Luger was able to catch Mr Perfect in a backslide pin and got the win. However, there was a  twist and that was Mr Perfect had his feet on the ropes, but the referee ignored the objections and awarded the win to Luger.

Bret Hart

Lex Luger and Bret Hart had a moment that will be remembered for a very, very long time. The two wrestlers were the last two men standing in the 1994 Royal Rumble. Both of them did everything they could and pulled every trick in the book to avoid going over the top rope and hitting the floor but then Lex managed to lock up Bret in a bear hug. Bret was able to get Luger to the ropes, and the two would tumble to the floor with both feet landing at the exact same time. Both men were declared winners in what was truly a fascinating moment in history.
