AJ Styles vs The Undertaker and other rivalries in WWE

Every now and then, there comes a wrestler who just knows deep inside him that he is meant for greatness. There is one such wrestler in the WWE right now and his name is AJ Styles.

Styles was a successful wrestler wherever he went. He was the cornerstone of TNA. He made ROH his own and he made waves in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Now he has made WWE his home and he keeps getting better each year. He is like fine wine. The older it gets, the better it tastes.

Styles has had many great rivals since he made his WWE debut in 2016. In this article, we take a look at some of them.

The Undertaker

AJ Styles has the distinct honour and privilege of being the last opponent that The Undertaker ever faced in his illustrious career. If there was anyone who could make Taker look like a million bucks, it was AJ.

So when the two started feuding, things got personal. Styles took it so far and even involved The Undertaker’s wife Michelle McCool in one of his promos. The two legends went head to head in a Boneyard match at WrestleMania 36 and had an all-time classic which The Undertaker won. It was the perfect match for the Phenom to end his career and ride off into the sunset.

John Cena

AJ Styles vs John Cena was the rivalry that all the fans were dreaming about for a long time. So when AJ made it to the WWE, it was only a matter of time till these two greats collided. When they did get into the ring, it was magic. Styles with his technical in-ring skills and Cena with his absolute show of strength stole the show each time they faced each other.

AJ was exceptional during this angle with Cena. His mic skills were second to none and even took Cena by surprise. Styles along with his buddies Gallows and Anderson were the perfect heels something that the fans clearly loved. Styles also took Cena’s catchphrase and turned it into his own annoying Cena further.

Shane McMahon

When Shane McMahon made his return in 2016, he had a jaw-dropping Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. Then when Shane was in charge of SmackDown, he got into a feud with Styles.

They had some fantastic moments together which made for a compelling storyline and culminated in a match at WrestleMania 33 which exceeded expectations and had the fans inside the stadium applauding.
