This week’s SmackDown was a rollercoaster ride. It included Bobby Lashley and Uncle Howdy confronting each other with the same being said for Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. The cracks continue to appear in The Bloodline week after week and the best part was Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns coming face to face for the first time since Cody won the Royal Rumble. There were a lot of observations that were made and here are three things we learned from this episode of SmackDown.

1. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are magic on the mic

Roman Reigns opened the show and came out with his entire entourage except for Jey Uso. After his customary moment where he demands every fan in the arena to acknowledge him, Cody Rhodes came out to a thunderous ovation. Cody then went on to coax Roman to send away Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman so that they could have a chat face to face. With the two superstars alone in the same, Roman started to play some mind games where he mentioned Cody’s dad, the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, and spoke about how he was instrumental in getting him to where he is today.

Reigns then went on to say that Dusty never once spoke about Cody to him and implied that Dusty never really believed in his youngest son. That drew a reaction from Cody and in classic fashion, he stated that at WrestleMania, he will finish his story and dethrone Roman Reigns as the undisputed champion.

2. Bobby Lashley has an encounter with Uncle Howdy

Bobby Lashley has been on a tear for a couple of months now. Ever since he beat Brock Lesnar at the Elimination Chamber, Lashley has been flying. His opponent at WrestleMania appears to be none other than Bray Wyatt. Wyatt has been back to his old self and has been playing mind games since last week when he reintroduced the Firefly Fun House. He is not alone however as he is accompanied by his strange accomplice, Uncle Howdy.

Bobby Lashley came out to the ring and started speaking about how he is not afraid of Wyatt and that he won’t run away from him. He then went on to call out Bray Wyatt but much to his surprise, out came Uncle Howdy and attacked him from behind. But Lashley hit back and just as he was about to hit the spear, the lights went out and Uncle Howdy disappeared, continuing the mind games on the Road to WrestleMania.

3. Sami Zayn is not done with the Bloodline

Ever since Sami Zayn got thrown out of The Bloodline, Jimmy Uso has taken a dislike towards him like no other. He was the first member of the Bloodline to take Sami into the fold, so it should not be that difficult to think why he feels that way towards Zayn. Zayn took on Solo Sikoa in the main event of the show and thanks to some shenanigans from Jimmy from ringside, Solo picked up the win after hitting Sami with a Samoan Spike.

After the match, Both Solo and Jimmy ganged up on Sami and started attacking him but the former Honorary Uce hit back with the help of a steel chair and ran away into the crowd. With WrestleMania only four weeks away, it will be interesting to see how Sami Zayn will take down the Bloodline. At this point, everything points to Zayn teaming up with his best friend Kevin Owens to take down the Usos. Only time will tell how that will pan out.
