Prior to the auction, Punjab Kings retained 2 players only – Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh. On the other hand, Punjab Kings bought some key players like Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada, Jonny Bairstow, Rahul Chahar, Shahrukh Khan, Liam Livingstone, Odean Smith, and Sandeep Sharma as well.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore retained 3 players before the auction- Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj. During the auction, they bought players like Faf du Plessis, Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dinesh Karthik, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Josh Hazlewood as well.
All the matches of the IPL 2022 will be broadcast live on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1 HD, Star Sports 3, and Star Sports 3 HD channels in India.
