Wolves suffered their 17th league-defeat of the season against Brighton last time out courtesy of conceding six goals at Falmer Stadium. It was their biggest competitive loss in 11 years. Deniz Undav, Pascal Grob and Danny Welbeck scored a brace each for the Seagulls at Amex Stadium. Prior to that, Julen Lopetegui’s side defeated in-form side Crystal Palace 2-0 thanks to Joachim Anderson’s third-minute own goal and Ruben Neves’s penalty kick four minutes into the injury time. Aston Villa, on the other hand, lost out to Manchester United last Sunday courtesy of Bruno Fernandes’s lone goal in the first half. The result ended Villa’s ten-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, while recording eight victories in the process. Meanwhile Unai Emery’s side have the sixth-best away record in the top flight this term, collecting 22 points from 17 matches on the road thus far. Saturday’s fixture will be crucial for Emery’s side in the context of the top five race, because after the game at Molineux stadium they will take on Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Brighton, all of whom are above them in the standings, in their remaining matches of the season.
