Ukraine have a tough test in the form of Republic of Ireland waiting ahead of them at the UEFA Nations League. In the League B Group 1 clash, the hosts will be keen to maintain their 100% winning record in the competition after winning their first two games. Infact they will be keen to register a double against Republic of Ireland after beating them 1-0 in the reverse match. However, the visitors will be heading into this game on a confident note after getting their first win of the tournament, a 3-0 triumph over Scotland in the last match.

On the other hand, Republic of Ireland’s form this year has been extremely inconsistent. Before the Nations League started, they were in decent form, as their previous defeat had come only in September of 2021. However, their eight-match unbeaten run came to a disappointing end with two successive defeats in the ongoing competition. They lost to Armenia and Ukraine by the same 1-0 margin before bouncing back against Scotland in style with a 3-0 win. They have to be at the top of their game to get all three points on Tuesday.
There are few changes expected to be seen from both sides, with some due to injuries, while others are made to rotate the squad. Oleksandr Zinchenko could return to the midfield, allowing Vitaliy Mylolenko to return to the left-back slot. One of Artem Dovbyk or Roman Yaremchuk could be tasked with leading the attack for Ukraine. On the other hand, Republic of Ireland might be forced to make a couple of changes. Shane Duffy has been suspended from Tuesday’s clash, while Michael Obafemi has reportedly suffered an injury. It will be interesting to see who replaces them in the Starting XI.
