The summer football transfer window of 2023 is causing a lot of excitement as players switch teams. Fans are thrilled about their favorite teams getting new talented players. Among all this excitement, there’s one special update that’s grabbing everyone’s attention and making them really happy. FC Barcelona has confirmed defender Sergino Dest’s season-long loan to PSV Eindhoven, including a purchase option and future sell-on percentage. Despite desiring a permanent move, negotiations led to another loan for the 22-year-old right-back, aiming to revive his career after a disappointing AC Milan loan.

Manchester United were thinking about recruiting Benfica’s goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos, especially with Dean Henderson’s possible departure and attention from Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest. However, the focus has shifted, and now they’re reportedly pursuing a different goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, who is undergoing medical evaluations for the potential transfer. Belgian winger Jeremy Doku nears an alleged £51 million transfer from Rennes to Manchester City, offering a successor to Riyad Mahrez. The deal highlights City’s effective transfer endeavors. Rennes anticipates a record fee, accentuating City’s global football dominance. Doku’s Etihad arrival underscores City’s on and off-field prowess, reinforcing their elite standing.

Jeremy Doku set to undergo Manchester City medical

According to the football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Jérémy Doku is heading to Manchester for a medical ahead of his transfer to Manchester City. The Belgian international is set for medical tests on Wednesday before joining Etihad Stadium. Manchester City has agreed on a reported £55 million fee with Rennes for Doku, who has already agreed to personal terms. Doku is targeted by City as a replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who joined Al Ahli for a reported amount of £30 million. Doku chose Manchester City over West Ham United, declining the latter’s interest. The Belgian impressed at Rennes in Ligue 1, featuring in 29 matches last season, scoring six goals and assisting two.

Rodrigo De Paul’s transfer to Al-Ahli called off

Reported by Fabrizio Romano, Rodrigo De Paul has rejected an offer from Saudi club Al-Ahli, preferring to stay with Atletico Madrid. Despite the transfer window nearing its end, Atletico is determined to retain the valuable midfielder. Romano states that Al Ahli, a financially influential Saudi club, seeks De Paul after failing to acquire Piotr Zielinski from Napoli. While some believe Atletico might resist, Romano suggests that every decision has consequences, implying a breaking point for Atletico’s commitment. Acquired for an alleged amount of €35 million from Udinese a year ago, De Paul had a mixed start at Atletico but regained form, crucial for Argentina. As Al Ahli races against the clock, Atletico’s dedication to keeping him faces a challenge.

Altay Bayindir undergoing Manchester United medical

Manchester United is in the midst of medical evaluations for Fenerbahce’s Altay Bayindir, considering him as a backup option. The club seeks clarity on his past back problems before sealing the deal. With a focus on obtaining a strong substitute for Andre Onana, United eyes the highly regarded 25-year-old Turkish goalkeeper. If the medical tests go well, Bayindir could join for a reported amount of £4 million. Standing at 6ft 6in, he excels in shot-stopping and aerial play. Having conceded 162 goals and kept 44 clean sheets in 145 Fenerbahce matches, Bayindir appears suitable as a backup rather than a first-choice goalie. A £4 million acquisition seems like a sensible move for Manchester United.
