Swansea secured all three points against Cardiff at Cardiff City Stadium last Saturday courtesy of first-half efforts from Joel Piroe and Liam Cullen, and Ben Cabango’s dramatic 99th-minute winner. It was their 13th second tier victory of the season. Couple that win with a 2-0 triumph over Bristol City just before the international break and the Swans have enjoyed a productive last couple of weeks, with the club having won more matches in their last two games than they had in the previous ten. Meanwhile, Swansea have got a pretty good home-record in the Championship this season, having collected 27 points from 19 matches at Swansea.com Stadium, while scoring 30 goals in front of their own supporters.
Coventry, on the other hand, got thrashed by Stoke last Saturday at Coventry Building Society Arena courtesy of goals from Jacob Brown, Tyrese, Campbell, William Smallbone and Ki-Jana Hoever. The result ended Coventry’s nine-game unbeaten streak in the second tier. The Sky Blues have recorded 15 league-wins this term and their latest victory came against Blackpool (4-1) just before the international break, thanks to Ben Sheaf’s 20th-minute opener, and own goal by Curtis Nelson on the stroke of half-time, and second-half efforts from Kyle McFadzean and Matt Godden. Meanwhile, Mark Robins’ side have been decent on their travels, collecting 24 points from a possible 57 on the road.
