Villa produced a clinical performance at Villa Park last time out to solidify their tag as favourites to win Europe’s third tier club competition, thanks to one goal each from Ollie Watkins and John McGinn. It was a much needed victory for Unai Emery’s side, having taken just one point from their last two league-games against the likes of Manchester City (4-1) and Brenftord (3-3). Meanwhile, the reverse fixture versus Arsenal in December last year saw Villa secure a narrow victory thanks to John McGinn’s lone goal seven minutes from time.
